You care about the open source ecosystem beyond your job description. You follow upstream projects, file issues, and understand community dynamics.

You understand what it means to be on-call for a Fortune 500 customer. SLAs, audit trails, and change management are not foreign concepts.
Communication skills
You can explain a complex failure mode to a VP of Engineering who did not build the system. Writing clearly is a core part of the role.

What engineering roles does OSSeva hire for?
OSSeva primarily hires senior engineers with deep expertise in one or more of our supported technologies: Erlang/OTP and RabbitMQ internals, JVM performance and Kafka internals, PostgreSQL C-level and extension development, Spring Framework and Spring Boot, and .NET CLR. We also hire compliance engineers with hands-on experience with SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA, or FedRAMP audit engagements.
Is OSSeva remote-first?
Yes. OSSeva operates as a fully remote, globally distributed team. Team members are based across the US, UK, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. We prioritize asynchronous communication and deep, focused work. There is no headquarters office and no expectation of co-location.
